I just upgraded to Windows 10 over the top of my Windows 7 PC. &I had Halo 2 installed on the PC, but it no longer works. &Is there a way to run that game on Win 10? &If so, what else do I need to do? &

What is the make and model of your computer?
What is the status when you try running Halo 2?
Can you see any error code or error message on the screen?
Is there any other applications or programs causing the same issue?

Thanks for the quick response. &Here are the answers to your questions:
1. &The PC is an HP Pavilion dv7 notebook that I used for games, email, web browsing.
2. &When I try to run Halo 2 it does not start. &If I try to run it again, it says it is already running, so the game seems to be partially starting, but never truly runs.
3. &No error messages other that the "already running" notice previously mentioned.
4. Not sure what you mean by the question. &I have not experienced any other errors for other applications, but I only upgraded yesterday.

Just ran it again. &Here is the specific error message:
LIVE Gaming on Windows failed to initialize. &This may be because another LIVE gaming on Windows application (such as the Halo 2 dedicated server) is running on the same machine. &Otherwise, reinstalling the game may fix this problem
I did uninstall/reinstall and that did not work.

No responses and I don't know how to fix this. &I uninstalled Halo2 and I reinstalled it, but that did not fix the problem. &I don't know what else I need to delete to make this work.

I am having exactly the same issue with Halo2 on Windows 10 as DDDRD.& It seems that Halo2's live gaming is conflicting with a pre-existing live gaming running under W10.& Is this because of the Xbox system on W10 and if so is there anyway to disable or
uninstall Xbox live gaming on W10?

Hi. I have just solved the problem. &I'm not sure this may help you.
1.&&Click start (window icon on the left lower corner, as you know), and make X box live account.
2.& Uninstall and Re-install "HALO2 for windows (vista)".& Answer "yes"&for an update program, which is automatically down loaded.
3.& Log in the same account&for the &X box live account.
